Exterior car detailing is a careful hand wash plus paint decontamination and protection: foam pre-wash, hand wash, wheels and tires, iron and clay treatment, exterior windows and a ceramic sealant. Peak Polish does it at your location across Toronto and the GTA from $125, in about 2 hours.

Automatic car washes are quick, but brushes and recycled water are a common cause of the fine swirl marks you see on dark paint in direct sun. An exterior detail is slower on purpose: a foam pre-wash softens the dirt first, so less of it gets dragged across the paint during the hand wash.
After the wash we decontaminate the paint. An iron remover dissolves brake dust and rail dust bonded to the surface, and a clay treatment lifts what is left, so the paint feels smooth instead of gritty. We finish with GYEON Q² Wet Coat, a ceramic sealant that adds gloss and makes water bead and roll off.
About 2 hours, depending on size and condition.
