Paint correction is machine polishing that levels the clear coat to remove defects instead of hiding them. Swirl marks from automatic car washes, light scratches, haze and oxidation are cut away, which brings back the depth and reflection the paint had when it was new.
We use a 2-step correction: a cutting stage to remove most of the defects, then a polishing stage to refine the finish to a high gloss. Once the paint is corrected, we seal it with a 5+ year ceramic coating so the result lasts. Our Premium Exterior detail is included as the prep.
Swirl marks and light scratches are tiny grooves in the clear coat. They catch light at different angles, which makes paint look hazy and dull. Correction levels the surface so light reflects evenly again.
Rain and wash water bead up and run off instead of sitting on the paint, taking loose dirt with them.
Dirt, salt and bugs have a harder time sticking, so a regular hand wash gets the car clean with less scrubbing.
The coating takes the hit from sunlight, which helps stop paint from fading and oxidizing over the years.
Road salt, slush and brine are easier to rinse away before they sit on the paint all season.
A coated finish looks wetter and richer, and it keeps that look much longer than wax.
